I haven't installed it yet, but I reacted to the mapping of en-dash and em-dash. I already use ALT+- for en-dash and ALT+SHIFT+- for em-dash. In your readme.png you have reversed them. Why? They work well enough for me as they are… Also ™ is already ALT+* and © is ALT+1 on my (Swedish) keyboard. These are easy to remember, so why re-map them?

I like it - a great simple addition which does not seem to conflict with my current set up. I agree, a little hard to install but with good instructions it would be fine.

The command+space shortcut is a problem as it just opens up spotlight - nothing that can not be rectified though.

I think the app will save lots of time!!

Installed the app on both desktop and laptop systems running Windows Vista. It's working great so far, but 2 things:

1. The Read Me PNG instructions for Windows Vista should read, "Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region" to change the keyboard map.

2. It would be great to have some swanky Smashing Magazine desktop backgrounds with the new key map on them.

Hi, just another thing. Yesterday I shut down my PC (Windows XP) and when I turned it on this morning the keys were all different. Also, the US-International key combination (as to press the ' key and then a to produce á) was also not working.

So far so good running well on my Mac [10.5.6] system. Getting it up and running was relatively simple but could be streamlined on release - I think a number of people have commented on this aspect. Otherwise nice work!

This app has worked wonderfully in every application I have used, even online web apps! Very useful, easy to figure the characters (if you don't have the layout right in front of you), extremely intuitive.

I will use it forever! Excellent app and a must for every designer!
Thanks!

Ok, I'm having a problem with this app.

First off, I'm Icelandic and my keyboard is set up for the Icelandic language (of course)

After I installed the program, some (not all) programs do not have the Icelandic keyboard layout, at least Photoshop and Scite behave this way. They seem to be stuck in the english input language (which I'm very unused to).

So I had to uninstall... :(

Sorry :)
Best,

Have been testing it :)
My feedback is positve. The tools is really useful and easy to use.

Anyway here go some suggestions / notes:

1 Pay very attention to instructions - non geeks willing to use it will need better than the .png file :) It's hard to figure it out if you don't know exactly where things are.

2 The portuguese subject that users already mentioned

3 Besides the install instructions create an explanation of what it does. I took 3 minutes to figure it out but I'm someone which uses the PC for more than check the mail. Others may find it useful

Good luck with it :)

Will report if i find anything else
