How to recreate this layout

Hi,

I really like the layout of this page:

I don't want to purchase a membership because I don't need the images, colors, and fancy navigation bar. I would just really like to know how to create a layout like this, where there is a two column then a one column, then a two column in a box.

Any suggestions on where I should look?

Learning HTML and CSS would be a good place to start.
