Postby philliplind » Mon Nov 02, 2009 10:32 am

Hey guys,

Great site i love it, its on my daily to do list, read smashing =)

Now my problem is i got a banner that measures 140px x 140px and thats like very small for a banner.

And i need a font that stands really clear, and an easy to read.

Hope you can help me out guys!

Keep it simple - stick to a sans-serif font, in bold and caps if need be.
Most importantly, if you're worried about legibility, make sure there is a strong contrast between the text and its background colour - there shouldn't be any problem reading it if you do these things.

Experiment with sans-serif fonts like Arial, Helvetica, Verdana etc or something a little more 'blocky' like Nevis.

Hey Mark,

Thanks alot for your answer, i tried Arial and Verdana cause that would be the obvious.

But i still think it gets a litlle pixelated, is it cause im using the wrong charachter finish you now smooth and crisp or what they are called..

The nevis font you say =) i will try that!

Thanks alot so far, really fast help!
