Great idea! I think a forum is a great idea. Smashing Magazine already has so many wonderful resources, and a forum only seems logical.

I think the key to a successful forum is managing the communication process. All too often I have seen forums in which a few people dominate, and then destruct! What I mean is there seems to be a lack of respect in how one communicates. As long as each and every person remembers to treat one another respectfully, then success is inevitable.

I wish you the best, and will be glad to share what I know. I too recently started my own forum, reluctantly, mind you. But I just don't have enough time to respond to everyone's questions via email. Since most people have the same question, I figured I might as well share the questions and answers to an entire audience! My forum is not nearly as large!! However, it serves its purpose!!

I will be sure to share your forum with the folks in my forum.
