I'm new to the forums, but I've been following Smashing Magazine blog for a long time and it helped me in so many ways. I hope that forum will do the same — I can talk to people on various topics, start my own and search for solution. It's always great to have a place where you can have quality talk on some things that you are interested in. Some of them can hopefully make for a good blog post as a "conclusion" to specific topic.

Question: "How can SM Forum help me in the future?"

Answer: I am a graduate student in Computer Engineering at Rutgers University. SmashingMagazine really helps me a lot. You give me inspiring AJAX, JavaScript, and CSS ideas. Last semester I took the course Software Engineering and developed a web application for Graduate School Application. I used several technique from here, like login interface by jQuery, page interaction by AJAX, and several advanced styles by CSS. In our final demo, the Prof. was amazed. He said he was going to use this! Thanks to SmashingMagazine, I finally got an A in this class.

Besides google searches, forums are one the best ways to find information about topics that I am interested in. I am excited about not only gaining information from the SM forums but giving something back. SM's articles are great. I am excited that they now have forums.
