Number 1
I'm hoping the forum, like the site itself, will keep both basic design principles and good tricks in front of me on a regular basis so that my impromptu web work will be both more useful and more enjoyable.

And for me, I'd like more wordpress posts please! (hacks, tricks, tips, etc rather than themes)

Glad to see the forum finally 'officially' launched!

6. The Art of Looking Sideways

"How can SM Forum help me in the future?"

It will definitely save time when searching for a specific issue. The smashing site is a great resource for content already created, though for specific issues or problems that someone has already gone through and solved, this will be the first place I check.

I can see that this will be a very popular forum, meaning I know I can come here, ask a design related question and get a quick, reliable reply!

My pick is № 2;

I am always looking for good places to ask for critique on my designs and I think Smashing Forum would be a great place for that, because of the huge number of very well qualified readers (and, I hope, forum members). And surely this is a great place to help out fellow designers with my tips and tricks.

Cheers,
Karolis.

#3 <- Don't make me think

"How can SM Forum help me in the future?"
A. A webdesigner constantly has several troubles in his work. When you get stuck in something the best solution is to ask an advice to the experts. Smashing Magazine Forum is the perfect place to find out experts that will help you out with your work, design and usability problems. So don't make me think again because the answer is clear: SMF is the place where real experts communicate.
