hi guys,

i'm totally new to php but i'm really interested in it! have been reading quite a number of tutorial sites on php..but i'm getting nowhere as i don't know what i can do with them! eg. what is expected of a website coder/programmer...
hope someone would be nice enough to guide me in a direction to start with :)

This obviously depends on how you personally learn best... I've found that I really like video tutorials, since I can watch as the script is built, and pause the video when necessary and do the same code alongside.

Two sites that have helped (both offer a variety of free PHP videos for beginners that will help get you started, and low-price paid courses that'll take you through the steps to making a PHP app):

The PHP video tutorials/articles over on http://net.tutsplus.com/ are also pretty useful.
