Help with Random Images

Postby astrocas » Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:13 pm

Hey Guys,

I have a directory full of images and thumbnails. Does anybody know of a script that can randomly pick and insert a thumbnail pic that links to the fullsize version?

I've found heaps of random pic scripts, but nothing that does this. It would be cool if the script could generate and resize the thumbs for me, but not necessary.

Regards!

This page would get you started...

basically, it has all of the code necessary to select a random image from a folder. Once that image is picked, you'd need to do a small amount of PHP work to generate the thumbnail and insert it.
