Payment Process

Postby cechmaster » Thu Oct 01, 2009 12:11 pm

I have a friend who owns a trucking business and he needs a website so his clients can contact him and even pay online. He needs a basic form where the client puts in his credit card number, and the amount to pay. How would I be able to do this without using PayPal or any other service that takes a percentage out.
Thanks for any responses

If he is going to process payments online -- charge the card straight from the website -- yes, there are going to be fees involved. There really is no way around that.

However, if he simply stores the information and processes things by hand later, that may avoid some fees. From a security perspective, though, it's extremely risky to store credit card numbers, and it should be avoided at all costs.
