Photoshop for Dummies

Is it really hard to make a simple gradient in PHOTOSHOP than FIREWORKS? ehe! I am a FIREWORKS user but I am starting to jump to PHOTOSHOP. Is there a tutorial site that has a beginners guide in PHOTOSHOP?

Just double-click on the layer to view the "layer style" dialog & select "drop shadow"..

That's not how you make a gradient. :thumbdown:

Just use the gradient tool. Now, can we please put this age-old thread to rest? The guy hasn't been around since august. Doubt he'll ever read this thread.
