It is minimalistic. personally I don't like the "glossy 2.0 look" on your toolbar.

I think you are on the right track, but honestly the main page doesn't say much. It's too minimalistic for my taste and I agree about the toolbar. I do, however really like your "about/contact" page which you kind of hid in a very small link. It's very fun and shows more about your personal style. It could use a little more information about you. I think the yellow and fun approach would work well on the home page. Hope that helps.
