Hey guys
I have to change my hosting provider this month and I would like to know what you think about this server companies?
I can't afford MediaTemple cause I think their "gs" service is overpriced but I would like to know what you think between Dreamhost, ANHosting and Bluehost.

Any advice is well considered!

I have an account with Dreamhost. They are not fantastic, but they're cheap and *mostly* reliable. The same is pretty much true of ANHosting and Bluehost too.

There are a few great web hosts getting a lot of attention for being awesome at the moment, so you could look into these: Fused Network, Clook and LiquidWeb.

I'm quite happy with http://www.compila.com/, although they do have a 1Mb limit on file size (not a problem for a portfolio site).

Their live support is also great, always someone available to help me. Support tickets also get replied to within a couple of hours (sometimes even in the middle of the night).

And they have loads of One Click installs like Wordpress, phpBB etc

Agree with hayley, DH is good enough for the price, but no more. The same truth holds with other similarly priced companies such as hostmonster, bluehost and blahblahblah.

If you are looking for real reliability, pair.com, rackspace.com, softlayer.com, theplanet.com. Big hosting players.

If you are looking for reliability but also on price, slicehost.com, linode.com and mosso.com. I'm currently with mosso.com cloud servers (not the $100 / month cloud sites) unmanaged hosting. If you can spare a week or 2 learning all the server administration stuff, there's no better deal.
