Dreamweaver CS4, the best for coding HTML/CSS.

I think Coda & TextMate (on MAC) and E-Text Editor (on PC) are also the best editors for coding out there.

Dreamweaver, Phase 5 or any other simple textprogram. I don't see what's the point with Dreamweaver, never had problems with the code. It's just a big help to me. And in the end YOU are the one who codes it, not Dreamweaver or whatever. Validate instantly.

I use Intype 99% of the time, and VIM. On occasion I've caught myself coding in my FTP client which is just your basic notepad.

Will notepad++ auto complete code as good as Dreamweaver? I have always used Dreamweaver mainly because I've been with it for 7 years, but I only use the code view. Nothing else. Therefor I'm thinking about a change, as it get's very bloated for my use.

Will notepad++ also autosync files to a FTP?

Thanks. I'll stick with Dreamweaver then as I'm spoiled with the auto complete :oops: .

- Notepad++ on my netbook.

- Dreamweaver (hand code ...) on my personal desktop. It's not that I'm a fan, it's just that I don't really care what editor I use as long as it highlights code.

Dreamweaver and Eclipse (java environment) at work ... it's necessary for me to get into the dev sites and fix markup or styles that a java programmer broke.. Also our flash guys use adobe's eclipse-based editor, so I tend to use that to muck with CSS being used in our flex skins.
I blame the limitations of plain text!
