On Windows:

  • FlashFXP (mainly)
  • FileZilla (occasionally)

On Mac:

  • Transmit

I can't think of anything better than Transmit as an FTP-client for Mac. :)

I use ExpanDrive on my Mac along with Transmit. For some projects it is easier for me to mount the entire directory, then to play with individual files alone.

Filezilla, because it's free. Caring about my FTP program traverses a boundary I'm not comfortable with ..

As all other Windows users I use Filezilla.

It's intuitive and free, so why bother with something else.

I'm another Filezilla user- I've got it installed on my Mac, my PC, and my USB Drive.

Free and portable. Awesome.
