ENLIGHTEN ME!!

Postby bdeihc » Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:00 pm

Ok, So I am a graphic designer, by education and trade. I graduated with a design degree and no coding experience. My school did not teach coding and therefor I am feeling a little out in the cold. I want to learn CSS in order to enhance my design, I currently design in photoshop, slice and take into dreamweaver. I know CSS is the route to take but I am not sure where to start. I find most of it a little difficult to understand when it comes to combining CSS with a web design from photoshop. Please tell me someone, somewhere has been through this and can point me in the right direction?

gratefully yours,

LOST SHEEP

W3 Schools is sub-par in comparison to Sitepoint's reference pages. I linked to them for a reason.

Sitepoints site, as previously mentioned, and a book called CSS Mastery by Andy Budd. If you begin to learn the basics from sitepoint - you can then refer to the book for great tricks.
Both great references.
