I think a chapter on Wordpress and all that goes with it, would be useful as much of the web today consists of blogging or using Wordpress an awful lot, or at least smashing has an article related to it in some form at least 3 times a week.

I'd second the Wordpress section idea although the content would have to be really well thought out. You could write a thousand books on Wordpress and still not cover everything!

How about concentrating on theme design? Not only for WordPress, but for other CMSs as well.

+1 for me. So far I have only found one really great book on Wordpress design.
I remember when I first downloaded Wordpress, I was very overwhelmed with how to design for this site. With experience I have found this much easier, but a resource for the basics would be a great tool.
