Text-heavy article typography and guidelines

Postby Kiwi » Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:19 pm

Usually, your average readability and typography articles pertains to front pages and run-of-the-mill blogs. They don't get into the discussion of what you do with text-heavy writing, as is often experienced on various websites[1].

This also applies to forums[2], of course, even though they have been overlooked somewhat, as another topic mentions.

Another thing to investigate is single page versus pagination. And if you subscribe to the religion of pagination, how long then should a piece of text be before pag'ing it?

EDIT: Also, justification (and its implications) and microtypography, particularly the relation between the two.
