Here's my attempt at a book cover. I came up with a minimalistic design, with the idea that gloss and something shiney will attract people's attention... we're all magpies after all!

I believe that the cover should reflect the site. A simple, no fuss approach to smashing you with information that will make your life easier. Really!

Dark regions (apart from the URL) are gloss, with a darker border printed incase the light just isn't at the right angle, and the light regions are a matt colour.

Things that I think need to be improved, before you waste your time replying:
- Book and URL font aren't the best choice, I have a very limited choice on my computer... I'm used to staring at console fonts most the time!
- Colours need adjusting slightly.

There is no contrast in the design so it doesn't ask for any attention. In my opinion. Keep it up.

I don't like it, it's too boring in my opinion. Smashing is not just about orange, it's also about white.

Why not keep it in the same style as the site? Although, I don't know how that white would look on a cover. I imagine it screaming.
