When I read you needed ideas for the cover design, I first thought of a large graphic covering the front. A big shatter vector - like what happens if you drop a rock on a windshield. "Smashing", no?

Or something along those lines.

I think Smashing is referring to the British informal meaning that is synonymous with Wonderful, very good or impressive, not to actually smash something.

I know that the name of the site is referring to the British term, but why not have such a striking visual like that?

Or have some kind of visual reference to bad web design being 'smashed' by the logo or something. Because a generic cover would not attract much attention.
